The Walking Dead season 5 will at one point include Norman Reedus with a bloody hand, the actor revealed.

Reedus showed his character Daryl Dixon with the super bloody hand in a series of pictures, saying “I said yes” and “Divorced.”

The tweets led to speculation that Dixon will lose his hand at some point during the season, with one of the pictures showing a hand lying on the ground.

But there’s no confirmation of that happening and show creator Robert Kirkman has previously indicated that it’s unlikely any characters will lose their hands.

Meanwhile, Reedus recently told Entertainment Weekly that Dixon, trapped at Terminus with the rest of Rick’s group, is going to change at least a little bit to deal with what’s going on.

“Wow, he’s trapped in a box, so I think he’s probably pretty feral at the moment,” Reedus said.

“He’s probably a little scared which makes him a little more feral.”

Indeed, Dixon has changed a lot since season 1.

In season 1 he had such a chip on his shoulder and didn’t think people trusted him and he didn’t trust other people. Everything just kind of came out of the side of his head. This season he’s very much in your face and his shoulders are square to you and he means what he says. He’ll look you in the face,” Reedus said.

“People rely on him now and I think before he thought people would cross the street if he was walking toward you. Now he’s an integral part of the group. People trust him and I think he’s accepted that trust.”

Season 5 will premiere on Sunday, October 12.
