Norman Reedus, perhaps the most popular actor on the hit show The Walking Dead, was bitten by a fan while posing for a photo with her.

Reedus, who plays biker and crossbow expert Daryl Dixon on the AMC zombie program, was at a Walker Stalker fan convention when the bite took place.

Fan reports indicate that the woman and Reedus were posing for a picture together when she suddenly bit him. “Afterwards security grabbed her … ‘um ma’am, you just bit Mr. Reedus.'”

Michael Rooker, who played Merle in the show, was apparently right there and said: “What the [expletive] was that!?”

TMZ later reported that the bite was “only a nibble,” and that Reedus declined to press charges. He also did not need medical attention and was able to keep taking pictures with fans. The woman apparently bit him on his chest.

The woman later identified herself as Instagram user harleygurl68, and apologized.

“Finally meet the love of my life, and get banned from the rest of the CON and lose two more $100 photo ops with him because I lost my mind…” she wrote.

“Got so excited standing beside him and just turned my head and bit him! I don’t know what came over me. It wasn’t my intention to hurt him. I’m sorry Norman!”

Reedus responded to the episode via Facebook, posing a picture of himself wearing a shirt that reads “Do not bite me.”
