We all know what it is like to lose money, especially in this day and age. That 20 dollars, or even 5 dollars might be what we expected to spend on groceries, or to get some gas into our car. So when someone finds the money and gives it back to you, it feels like a weight is lifted off your shoulders.
One video shows the story of a woman, who dropped her money and ID when she was mounting her motorcycle. A dog nearby noticed that she dropped it, and went to investigate. After sniffing the items and recognizing her scent, the dog then decided to keep a close watch on her money. Protecting it from anyone who might have otherwise stolen it.
This is due to the fact that dogs are well trained and loyal animals. They will sit on the corner and be a good boy, even for days, weeks, and even years on end. Loyalty is a factor that even wolves had for other wolves, but this notion became far more noticeable after we started to domesticate them.
The woman comes back later on, not even realizing that she had lost anything until the dog picks it up and presents it to her. The woman then checks her pockets and realizes that she must have dropped the stuff. While a guy came over and picked up and pocketed some of the money, the dog was able to keep a close eye on the important documents.
This shows that we don’t deserve dogs. Dogs are highly loyal and will do anything if they feel that their owners have earned their trust. Humans have a great relationship with dogs, and that relationship is bound to flourish as time goes on.
