Videos of the Day: Over 400 Migrants Cross Border, Surrender to Border Patrol in Texas

More than 400 people illegally crossed the U.S.-Mexico border into Texas on Dec. 3 and surrendered to U.S. Border Patrol agents in El Paso.

Agent Fidel Baca, a spokesman for the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP), said that a group of men, women, and children turned themselves in to the Border Patrol along the Rio Grande levee.

Baca said that CBP agents initially detained 200 people, but with the discovery of another group, that number was later revised upward to 400.

Suspected Human Smuggler Seen Dropping Small Children From 18-Foot Wall at US-Mexico Border

Customs and Border Protection officials said that on the morning of Dec. 3, security camera operators observed a group of six illegal aliens, including two small children, making their way over the border wall.

The unidentified individual was caught on camera dropping two young children from the top of the 18-foot wall down to waiting family members below. Officials said the person who helped the family traverse the wall retreated to Mexico and was not arrested.

One of the children was reported to have sustained a facial injury.

Trumps Arrives At Blair House To Visit Bush Family

The body of former President George H.W. Bush continued to lie at the Capitol on Tuesday and was visited by both the public and distinguished groups.

President Trump and the First Lady also visited the Bush family on Tuesday, at a residence near the White House.

The Trumps were warmly greeted by former President George W. Bush and his wife Laura before the two couples entered the residence together.

Trump will attend Wednesday’s state funeral for Bush at Washington National Cathedral.

US Gives Russia 60 Days to Comply With Nuclear Treaty

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo gave Russia a 60-day deadline to come into compliance with the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty.

“In the light of these facts, the United States today declares it has found Russia in material breach of the treaty and will suspend our obligations as a remedy effective in 60 days, unless Russia returns to full and verifiable compliance,” said U.S. Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo.

President Donald Trump held out the possibility of an extension to the 90-day trade truce with China, but he warned he would revert to tariffs if the two sides could not resolve their differences.

Trump said his team of trade advisers led by China trade hawk, Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer, would determine whether a deal with China was possible.
