A cat whose legs were injured when he was a kitten recently got help from Iowa State University vets, who posted a video of the cat, named Vincent, walking for the first time.
“I anticipate that he'll be jumping and doing really normal cat things very soon,” Dr. Mary Sarah Bergh, the veterinary orthopedic surgeon who attached Vincent’s prosthetic legs, said on the college’s website in a news release.
Cindy Jones, of rural Nevada, originally found the cat.
“I took one look at him and fell in love,” Jones said of Vincent.
The design of the implants enables the cat’s bone to grow on the titanium shafts to support his weight, she said.
