Vampire Diaries season 6 will see Damon Salvatore and his brother Stefan reuniting.
At least that’s what Ian Somerhalder has indicated.
“I had some really great scenes with Paul [Wesley] not too long ago, like last week. You definitely see some great stuff with those boys. It’s good when they’re not at one another’s throats,” Somerhalder told Entertainment Weekly.
It’s been revealed that Elena will see Damon again, but while she’s on drugs.
“Do you know Elena has some sort of witchy drug problem that allows her to hallucinate Damon?” Caroline is seen asking Stefan in the recently released teaser trailer.
Unless Stefan gets in on the weird drug bender, it appears the Salvatore brothers will be reunited somehow, though it likely won’t happen until some time into the upcoming season.
Then again, Movie Pilot’s Karly Rayner speculates:
“Looking at how unstable Elena seems at the moment, I wouldn’t be surprised if she went ahead and spiked Stefan. I’m sure Elena must be angry the younger Salvatore brother ran away in the aftermath of the deaths, and making him hallucinate Damon would be a great way to make Stefan confront his emotions instead of running away from them.”
Vampire Diaries season 6 is set to premiere on October 2.
