NEW YORK—Valentine’s Day is one of those times in the year that couples want to share the best of everything: food, wine, music, and of course, an evening of romance. The concierges at the most luxurious hotels in the city are without a doubt the authorities on pampering your Valentine. The Epoch Times tapped the top concierges in the city for their suggestions for a heart-day treat in their respective establishments, and in the city at large.

THE PLAZA HOTEL NEW YORK, Central Park South:

The Plaza Hotel is offering heart-themed “Valentine’s Day Tea for Two” Feb.12–14, from 2–5 p.m. After some smoked duck or lobster vol au vent, couples can share champagne, heart-shaped chocolate truffle cake, or chocolate-dipped long-stem strawberries, among other delights.
Price: $60 per person + tax and gratuities

Out on the town: the Plaza is suggesting their guests visit other renowned restaurants around town to enjoy a romantic meal for two: Daniel, 11 Madison, or Gilt at the Palace Hotel to name a few.

Classic R&B singer, Freddie Jackson will performance live at BB King Blues Club and Grill on Feb. 14. Doors will open at 6 p.m., and the show will start at 8 p.m.
Ticket price: $45 in advance, or $50 day of show

French singer, Raquel Bitton, will perform “A Little Bit of Paris,” at Feinstein’s Cabaret at the Loews Regency Feb. 13 and 14, starting at 8:30 p.m. both nights (doors open at 7 p.m.) The show features songs of 1930s and ‘40s Paris. She will be accompanied by an eight-piece orchestra.

THE CARLYLE, 35 E. 76th St.:

The Cafe Carlyle will offer a candlelit dinner Sunday, Feb. 13 featuring Polish-Brazilian baritone, Paulo Szot. The show starts at 8:45 p.m.
Price: General seating, $100 per person; VIP seating, $150 per person; Bar seating, $50 per person

A luxurious treat, the “Chocolate Indulgence Couples Massage” at the Carlyle’s Sense Spa will include a full-body massage using chocolate-scented oils and complimentary chocolate-covered strawberries. The themed massage will be available Feb.11–14.

At the Carlyle Restaurant on Feb. 13, a three-course Valentine’s dinner will include a complimentary glass of rosé champagne.

NEW YORK PALACE HOTEL, 51st Street and Madison Avenue:

The Palace Hotel is home to the two Michelin-star restaurant, Gilt. A Valentine’s Day dinner will be offered on Feb. 14. Executive Chef Justin Bogle and Pastry Chef David Carmichael will offer a special Valentine’s menu.
