Wiener, Chan to Face Off in November for Pelosi’s House Seat

Two San Francisco Democrats will compete in the district’s first U.S. House election without an incumbent in nearly four decades.

SAN FRANCISCO—Primary voters selected two prominent local Democratic Party candidates, California state Sen. Scott Wiener and city supervisor Connie Chan, during the nonpartisan primary on June 2 in a race to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Wiener received 41.3 percent of the vote and Chan received 29.5 percent in unofficial results. They will face off in the midterms on Nov. 3 for California’s 11th Congressional District, covering most of San Francisco.
