White House Chief of Staff Shares View That Rising Inflation Is ‘High Class Problem’

White House chief of staff Ron Klain on Oct. 14 retweeted Harvard economist Jason Furman’s opinion that the United States’ economic problems such as rising inflation and supply chain issues are “high class problems.”

Klain retweeted a Twitter post from Furman which reads: “Most of the economic problems we’re facing (inflation, supply chains, etc.) are high class problems. We wouldn’t have had them if the unemployment rate was still 10 percent. We would instead have had a much worse problem.”
