Update: Missing 2-Year-Old From Florida Has Been Found

The Florida mother of 2-year-old Jordan Belliveau was arrested and charged with his murder on Sept. 4 after they found her son’s body.

Charisse Stinson is charged with first-degree murder for allegedly killing her son, Bay News 9 reported.

The police haven’t released the cause of death yet, ABC Action News reported.

The Largo Police Department (LPD) found Jordan’s body in a wooded area near Lake Avenue and McMullen Road on Sept. 4, Fox reported.

The Federal Department of Law Enforcement canceled the amber alert that had been issued for Jordan after his body was found. The alert had been sent out on Sept. 2 when the 21-year-old mother reported her son missing at around 1:30 a.m., the Tampa Bay Times reported.

Stinson told the LPD that a man named Antwan offered her and her son a ride near East Bay Drive and Belcher Road around 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 1.

When they were near Lake Road, Antwan allegedly struck her on the head. Stinson said she regained consciousness on Sept. 2 when she woke up alone in Largo Central Park without her son. She reported him missing that same day.

After the amber alert was sent out, the LPD began searched for Jordan and released surveillance footage and a composite sketch of Antwan.

Joe Cartel, Jordan’s father, was making Facebook posts, repeatedly pleading for everyone to help find his son.

“Bro ... help me im only 1 person jr (junior) da only thing i got rn (right now) ...”

He expressed his pain and anguish. “I pray he make it home safe cause lord knows i dont want nobody to feel my pain i wouldnt wish it on my worst enemy.”

Neighbor’s Observation

The Tampa Bay Times interviewed Jordan’s neighbor, 41-year-old Kevin Roush, who said he was shocked when the 2-year-old’s death was announced.

“He was a good little kid,” Roush said. “Ain’t a whole lot you can do at 2 years old.”

Roush’s son, Dillon, said that Cartel, nicknamed Jojo, would always play with his 2-year-old son, and his mother would do all the domestic duties involving diaper changes and bathing.

“Jojo and Charisse, they weren’t always a happy couple, but they were a functioning couple,” he said.

Child protective workers took Jordan away from Stinson and Cartel for a five-month period about eight months ago.

Dillon said he saw Stinson taking out the trash on Sept. 1 but he hadn’t seen Jordan in weeks.

The police arrived at Stinson’s apartment the next day after she reported her son missing.

‘He’s With the Angels Now’

On Sept. 4, the community had come out to see what was going on, only to react in horror upon seeing the 2-year-old’s body.

The helicopters circled near the woods where the police had found Jordan.

As people started to gather behind the yellow tape, some screamed, and some cried.

A woman screamed ‘'That’s a baby!”

A man said, “Exactly bro, there is no excuse!”

Another woman silenced the crowd as she led the crowd in prayer.

“He’s with the angels now,” said another bystander.
