The soldiers, members of the 1st Squadron, 113th Cavalry Regiment, were ambushed by a lone ISIS terrorist, according to U.S. Central Command.

U.S. President Donald Trump will meet the plane carrying the bodies of two Iowa National Guardsmen killed in Palmyra, Syria, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said on Dec. 16.

“President Trump will be heading to Dover Air Force Base to meet with the families of the fallen and receive their bodies here at home,” Leavitt told Fox News.
