WASHINGTON—President Donald Trump announced on Friday that he plans to request $2 billion from Congress to clean up and beautify the nation’s capital, including renovations to the White House executive building.

Wearing a “Trump Was Right About Everything!” cap, the president took questions from reporters during a visit to the People’s House exhibit near the White House.
