White House Says ‘Iran Will Continue to Pay’ Amid Reports of New US Strikes

The press secretary did not deny that a renewed attack could be imminent and last a few days.

The White House warned Iran on Friday afternoon amid reporting that President Donald Trump had ordered a fresh round of attacks against the country.

Trump had paused U.S. strikes earlier this week following a 13-day bombing campaign on the country, but White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, in an emailed response to The Epoch Times’ request for confirmation, did not deny that a renewed attack could be imminent and last a few days, aimed at forcing Tehran to surrender.

“The United States signed an MOU with Iran and they broke it, shot at commercial ships, and killed American soldiers,” Leavitt said in her statement. “President Trump is not going to stand by and allow this terrorist behavior to occur. Iran will continue to pay until they come to the table in, what President Trump deems, a meaningful way.”
