President-elect Donald Trump named commercial astronaut Jared Isaacman as the next administrator for the National Aeronautic and Space Administration (NASA) on Dec. 4.

Trump described Isaacman on Truth Social as “an accomplished business leader, philanthropist, pilot, and astronaut” and someone who “will drive NASA’s mission of discovery and inspiration, paving the way for groundbreaking achievements in Space science, technology, and exploration.”
