Former President Donald Trump has called on special counsel Jack Smith to immediately drop all charges against him in the Mar-a-Lago classified documents case after President Joe Biden was found to have wilfully retained sensitive national security materials but faces no charges.

“They should immediately drop the case against me,” President Trump told Fox News in an interview on Feb. 8, shortly after the release of special counsel Robert Hur’s 388-page report that found President Biden “wilfully retained and disclosed classified materials” when he was a private citizen after the end of his term as vice president.
