Truckers at the Port of Los Angeles are facing some uncertainties due to new California policies including a set of clean air regulations and AB 5, the “gig worker law.”

Nearly one-quarter of trucks serving Los Angeles-area ports will soon be prohibited from entering the gates after the California Air Resources Board’s (CARB) rule takes effect Jan. 1, 2023.
