Reuters— Tesla reached a confidential deal to resolve a lawsuit over a teenager’s death in a 2019 California crash involving a Model 3 vehicle on the company’s Autopilot advanced driver assistance software, a court order showed on Tuesday.
The settlement comes weeks after a Florida jury ordered Tesla to pay $243 million in compensatory and punitive damages to the victims of another fatal 2019 crash of a Model S that was equipped with Autopilot.
