Turning Point USA honored a Target retail worker who became the focus of a viral video earlier this month, presenting her with a check totaling more than $260,000 during the organization’s annual AmericaFest conference in Phoenix over the weekend.

Jeanie Beeman, 72, was brought on stage Saturday at AmericaFest, hosted by Turning Point USA, where conservative commentators Benny Johnson and Jack Posobiec introduced her to a cheering crowd. Organizers said the funds were raised through grassroots donations after a video circulated online showing Beeman calmly responding to verbal harassment while at work.

Johnson later wrote on social media that Beeman had gone “from being harassed at work to standing on stage at TPUSA’s biggest event of the year,” adding that supporters had donated more than $260,000 following the incident.
The confrontation occurred earlier this month at a Target store in Chico, where Beeman was working a shift while wearing a red shirt referencing slain TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk. In a video filmed by another customer, the woman accused Beeman of supporting racism and shouted profanities at her. Beeman declined to engage and instead attempted to end the encounter.

“I’m sorry, but I’m not going to stand here and argue with you,” Beeman said in the video, before wishing the woman a good day and returning to her duties.

The footage spread rapidly across social media platforms, drawing widespread attention and prompting an online fundraiser hosted on GiveSendGo. The fundraising page described Beeman as an elderly employee who was subjected to “unwarranted fury” for wearing a shirt supporting Kirk and said donations would help provide her with rest and financial support following the incident.

“Increased the goal due to the overwhelming support. Maybe we can give her a vacation and retirement!” the fundraising page stated.

Contributions from supporters surpassed $250,000 within days.

Beeman’s appearance at AmericaFest drew a standing ovation from attendees. Video shared online showed her walking onto the stage wearing the same red shirt seen in the viral clip. She was greeted by Erika Kirk, who later shared a post praising Beeman’s composure and courage.

“Such a precious moment with sweet Jeanie Beeman at AmFest 2025. Thank you for being a part of my Charlie’s legacy,” Kirk’s post read. “I love your courage. God bless you.”

AmericaFest, a four-day conference held this year at the Phoenix Convention Center, is expected to draw more than 30,000 attendees, according to organizers.

The event featured speeches and panels from prominent figures, including Vice President JD Vance, Donald Trump Jr., House Speaker Mike Johnson, and rapper Nicki Minaj.

Organizers have described this year’s conference as both a celebration of conservative activism and a moment of reflection following the recent assassination of Charlie Kirk, the group’s founder.

In a statement, Turning Point USA said AmericaFest 2025 was intended to honor his legacy while continuing efforts to engage and mobilize young voters ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.

“At AmericaFest 2025, we gather to honor Charlie’s legacy—to continue the mission he began and to celebrate the country he loved,” the website reads.
