Secretary of War Pete Hegseth announced today that the Pentagon will discontinue academic programs with Princeton University, Yale, Brown, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and many others ahead of the 2026–2027 academic year.

“For decades, the Ivy League and similar institutions have gorged themselves on a trust fund of American taxpayer dollars only to become factories of anti-American resentment and military disdain,” Hegseth said in a four-minute video posted on the social media platform X.
