New Mexico Sen. Ben Luján Suffers Stroke, Expected to Fully Recover

New Mexico Sen. Ben Luján (D-N.M.) is expected to make a full recovery after suffering a stroke and undergoing surgery, his office announced Feb. 1.

Carlos Sanchez, Luján’s chief of staff, said in a statement that on Jan. 27, the U.S. senator checked himself into a hospital and was later found to have had a stroke.
