Three of the seven seats on the Los Angeles Unified School District’s (LAUSD) Board of Education are up for grabs in this year’s election which comes at a pivotal moment for the school district amid declining enrollment.

District 2 Candidates
Six candidates are running for the open seat in District 2, which includes Los Feliz, Highland Park, Boyle Heights, El Sereno, and East LA, as current boardmember representative Monica Garcia terms out after representing the district for 15 years.
