The man, who was pushing a woman in a wheelchair, was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics. He was identified as Paul Sanchez, 38, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner. His city of residence was not known.

The woman was taken to a hospital, where she died. Her name was withheld, pending notification of her relatives.
