A man who made violent threats last summer against Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and the county sheriff, because of their involvement in the investigation and prosecution of former President Donald Trump, was sentenced to nearly two years in prison, the Department of Justice (DOJ) said on Tuesday.

Arthur Ray Hanson II, from Huntsville, Alabama, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge J. P. Boulee on Oct. 29 to one year, and nine months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release. The 59-year-old was also ordered to pay a $7,500 fine.
