Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón has suffered a setback in the first legal challenge to his controversial criminal justice reform policies.
On Feb. 8, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge James C. Chalfant granted a preliminary injunction that prohibits Gascón from ordering his prosecutors to carry through some of his directives.
