The chairman and a member of an influential House committee are seeking documents pertaining to claims of voter suppression from the 2018 gubernatorial race in Georgia.

House Committee on Oversight and Reform Chairman Elijah E. Cummings (D-Md.) and committee member Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) sent letters (pdf) to Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger on March 6, requesting documents relating to reports of “unprecedented” voter disenfranchisement.
