Guardian Angels Founder Curtis Sliwa Wins GOP Primary in New York City Mayoral Race

Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa sailed to an easy win over restaurateur Fernando Mateo in Tuesday’s Republican mayoral primary in New York City.

Sliwa received 68.9 percent of the Republican votes to 26.9 percent for Mateo, with over 96 percent of precincts reporting, according to preliminary results from the Board of Elections.
