Fullerton Passes Law to End Child Marriage

In California, it’s legal for minors to get married as long as they have parental or guardian consent and judicial approval. But on Nov. 17, Fullerton became the fifth Orange County city to forbid the practice.

Fullerton adopted an “End Child Marriage Under 18, No Exceptions” law during a regularly scheduled city council meeting after hearing from Global Hope 365 founder and president Rima Nashashibi.
