FTC to Investigate Whether Transgender Procedures Are Being Sold Through Deceptive Practices

WASHINGTON—A federal agency is launching an investigation to see whether so-called gender transition procedures are being offered under unfair or false claims.
“Today is not about politics,” Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Chairman Andrew Ferguson said in his opening remarks at a July 9 workshop examining the issue.
