An explosion outside a fertility clinic in Palm Springs, California, has left one person dead and four injured and caused significant damage to nearby buildings. The FBI stated that it is investigating the incident as an act of terrorism.

The blast occurred shortly before 11 a.m. on May 17 near the intersection of North Indian Canyon Drive and East Tachevah Drive, the city of Palm Springs said in a statement on social media.
