Milwaukee Islamic Leader Arrested, Accused of Immigration Fraud, Prior Conviction

DHS said Sarsour came to the United States in 1993 as a conditional resident and is suspected of funding terror organizations.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said on Thursday that Salah Salem Sarsour, the president of the Islamic Society of Milwaukee, has been arrested, accusing him of immigration fraud and previous criminal convictions in Israel.

“This illegal alien from Jordan lied on his green card application to gain legal status in the U.S.,” DHS acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis said in a press release.
