Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.) seized the Senate floor for more than 22 hours, protesting President Donald Trump and his administration amid the ongoing government shutdown.
Merkley spoke from 6:21 p.m. ET on Oct. 21 until 5 p.m. ET on Oct. 22, taking time to pause for questions from other Senate Democrats.
