Northern California authorities have identified a climber who died earlier this month after falling 2,000 feet down a glacier on Mount Shasta in Siskiyou County.

Matias Augusto Travizano, 45, of Argentina, was with two other climbers when he fell to his death, the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office said in a Sept. 19 statement posted to social media.
