Stephen Moore: China ‘Brazenly’ Uses Trade Tactics to Meddle in 2020 Election

WASHINGTON—Beijing doesn’t want a “hard-line guy” in the White House and hence “brazenly” targets President Donald Trump’s voters to influence the next presidential election, economist Stephen Moore warned.
Moore, a former White House pick for the Federal Reserve board, accused China of using trade tactics to harm Trump, by pinpointing his core base of support—U.S. farmers and blue-collar workers—in the escalating trade war.
