BREA, Calif.—The Brea Chamber of Commerce is holding their 2022 “Taste of Brea” food festival—which has been supporting local businesses and building community for 10 years—on May 26 in Downtown Brea.

From 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, guests can expect a fun night out to bond with friends and family over dancing to live music from Cold Duck Band and sampling products from local businesses, restaurants, wineries, and breweries.

Local businesses that participate are given a unique chance to receive individual exposure to all who attend.

Eric Padilla, the Chair of the Board and Founder of Palatable Promotions, said the festival, which is always held on the Thursday before Memorial Day, is “the perfect way to kick off summer and the holiday weekend.”

“The Taste of Brea is an exciting day in Brea because not only does the community come out to support our local restaurants, breweries, and vendors, [but] it also feels like it’s the start of summer!” he said.

Some of the well-known eateries in Brea, such as Ruby’s Diner, Bruxie, and Corazon Modern Kitchen will be present at the event. The family-owned and operated Lasorda Family Winery will be returning with samples of their Cabernet, Chardonnay, and Tuscan blend wines.

Corazon Modern Kitchen told the Epoch Times that they noticed a large return of customers after their presence at last year’s event and said Taste of Brea was a “fantastic exposure with the local community” that helped connect both old and new businesses in Brea. This year the kitchen will be offering Tres Leches Cake, home-brewed beer, guacamole, and “a crowd favorite”—chips and salsa.

Sponsors of this year’s event include Albertsons, Republic Services, and Brea downtown.

Attendees can purchase $40 presale tickets at tasteofbrea.com or $50 tickets at the event on Thursday.
