When a mother from Jacksonville, Florida, rushed off to work and forgot to kiss her toddler goodbye, the little boy was understandably upset. His dad then captured the entire cute tirade on video, which has since gone viral and brought smiles to many social media users all over the world.
Alexander Simos, who was 2 then, had just got back from a soccer practice one day in October 2019 when his mom, Diana, had to go for work. The toddler was shocked at his mother’s sudden departure, as she didn’t even give him a proper goodbye. Not only did she forget to kiss him, but she also neglected his little sister. So outraged was the little boy that his father, Christos, felt compelled to film his reaction.
In the amusing video, little Alexander is seen babbling in baby talk and throwing his hands up in utter disbelief. “Mamma… me…” he tries to say. From behind the camera, Christos translates, “She didn’t give you a kiss?” To which the boy agrees.
“And she just went to work?” Christos continues while the little boy gets more animated. “What kind of mama does that?!” The little one then gestures at his little sister who is lying next to him and points at his dad, ranting that his mom forgot to kiss her and his dad too. His father commiserates by exclaiming, “Oh man!” The toddler seems to agree with that and reiterates what his dad just said.
The mom, who realized her mistake, said: “Definitely learned my lesson.”
She further added: “Won’t leave for work before giving him a million kisses.”
Alexander’s fury didn’t go unnoticed. The original video posted on Diana’s Facebook page got over 500,000 views and was shared 5,400 times. Nearly 1,000 people commented on his disbelief.
One social media user said, “He is soo adorable.., I can’t stop watching this again and again .. thanks, dad.” Another remarked: “You’re obviously a great Mother for raising such a lovely, affectionate and vocal little man. Continued blessings to you and your family.”
A third one chimed in, “He melted my heart. He already knows there is nothing like those mama kisses! So sweet.”
