Tina Fey is to be awarded the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor on Nov. 9, with the comedy celebration to include “Saturday Night Live” cast members and Betty White, according to the Associated Press.

Steve Martin, Jennifer Hudson and Jon Hamm will also be among the celebrities honoring Fey at the ceremony, to be held at the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts in Washington.

Before Fey became known for her comedy impression of former Republican vice-president candidate Sarah Palin, the 40-year-old was also famed as the first female head writer of “Saturday Night Live.”

The Mark Twain Prize for American Humor recognizes those who have made an impact on American society similar to how the 19th century novelists and humorists did. The prize was established in 1998.

The writer-actress will be the youngest person ever to receive the award. Past winners include Bill Cosby, Neil Simon and Whoopi Goldberg.

The event will be televised on Nov. 14 on PBS.
