Rancho Mission Viejo Rodeo

Celebrate the golden age of California history and the great American West at the 20th Anniversary of the Rancho Mission Viejo Rodeo. Committed to preserving the cowboy way of life, this event features 30 contestants facing off wild horses, raging bulls, and fierce calves that will keep your heart racing and boots stomping!

Discover Upper Newport Bay Kayak Tour

The Newport Bay Conservancy is hosting group kayak tours guided by certified volunteer naturalists in the ecological reserve of Upper Newport Bay. Each tour can take up to 20 people and is 2 hours long. Newport Aquatic Center, 1 Whitecliffs Drive, Newport Beach. Saturdays 10–12 p.m. Tickets start at $25. 2022 Sea Country Festival

Gear up for a three-day festival, rich with music, games, rides, food, and live entertainment for a weekend packed with fun. Hosted by the Laguna Niguel’s Parks and Recreation Department, this event is free to attend, but there are minimal costs associated with the rides and games. To jump ahead, wristbands for rids are available online for $35, or $40 at the door. Food is available for purchase through the partnership of Taste of Laguna Niguel, held at the festival to showcase local eateries, wine, and breweries.

Falun Dafa Meditation

Join a free meditation exercise workshop on the beach. Falun Dafa, also known as Falun Gong, is an advanced Buddhist self-cultivation practice based on the principles of truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance. Senior Health Fitness Expo

Improve your well-being through this year’s annual Senior Health Fitness Expo—featuring demonstrations such as dance, tai chi, and yoga. As it’s geared toward adults ages 50 and older, it will also be presenting health screenings, educational presentations, and the latest health and fitness exhibitors.

Pacific Amphitheatre Concert

Even after this year’s OC Fair has ended, the Pacific Amphitheatre is still rocking with live performances until Sept. 3. Ramon Ayala and Conjunto Primavera will be providing guests with a thrilling live musical experience.

Legends of Motown Comedy Slamm & Dance Party

The Phoenix Club in Anaheim is hosting a night packed with laughs, music, and dancing. The event features tributes to beloved musical artists—such as Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Al Green, and Lou Rawls—plus a dance party for all varieties of listeners, from classic 70s and old-school funk to salsa and line dances. Comedy star Scott Wood from the TV hit series “Something Smells Funny” will be leading the night to send guests rolling with laughter.
