My editor thought I lost my style mojo when I said CAT was a fashion-forward footwear brand and that there was a CATfootwear fashion show hosted by King’s County Distillery in Brooklyn NY. After I directed her to the CAT footwear website, her disbelief turned into: “Oh my words, these are good.” Reputation saved.
The iconic yellow and black logo is recognized at major construction sites worldwide, but now CAT has bridged over to other areas like fashion and philanthropy.
The first image that comes to mind for CAT, or Caterpillar Boots, are shoes worn by iron-beam-toting construction workers. But it has transcended from the construction environment to the urban sidewalk. Its collection of men’s, and yes, women’s boots, are now found in the wardrobes of hipster fashionistas.
I am addicted. I am currently wearing the “Haverhill Boot”, which is so comfortable. I have almost made them my everyday, fall shoes.
They are nicely styled with a dependable sole, so I am not afraid of walking on the pavement of the unforgiving streets of New York City. I also love the popping details in CAT’s collection, and the attention that it brings. Style and functionality are masterfully blended together in each piece.
The women’s collection features feminine, urban chic styles. The shoes are reliable, with such detailed craftsmanship that I can brave any environment with confidence.
Earthmovers, CAT’s humanitarian arm, recognizes trailblazers in a variety of areas – from the young race car Crew Chief Luke Lambert to philanthropists’ Tennille Amor and Alexi Panos of E.P.I.C, a non-profit organization that helps bring clean drinking water to people in Africa.
For the above reasons, I love CAT footwear. These boots are made for stylin’—with a purpose.
Thanks Alyson Roy @AMP3 Public Relations, Nicole Austin from King’s County Distillery in Brooklyn NY, the entire CATfootwear Team and #earthmovers for a Stomp’n good time.
