The Art of Conservation event on Nov. 22, 2013 is here to “Promoting One-Health conservation through education & empowerment. The organization encourages learning through creative expression, combining science-based lesson plans with visual art, poetry, song, dance and sports,” according to their mission statement on their facebook page.
Highlights of the event include speeches by AoC Board member Cheryl Stockton; Executive Director Allison Hanes; Founder and Program Director Julie Ghrist; and AoC Board member Dr. Lucy Spelman. Featuring Rwandan children AoC classroom artword; showcasing photography by Cheryl Stockton, Andrew Walmsley, Julie Ghrist, and Allison Hanes; along with musical performances by Kaiser Cartel and cellist Rubin Kodheli.
