Texas Gov. Greg Abbott on Wednesday insisted that there would be no more lockdowns in the Lone Star state, calling it the “wrong course” amid the pandemic, saying instead that vaccines and other safety measures are the right way to fight the outbreak.

Abbott made the remarks during a speech at the Asian American Hotel Owners Association’s National Convention in Dallas, Texas, on Aug. 4, which was first reported by CBS Dallas–Ft. Worth.
