Poland Plans Social Media Ban for Under-15s

Poland joins several other countries around the world that are planning or considering legislation to limit children’s access to social media.

Poland has become the latest country to announce legislation to prohibit minors from accessing social media. The move comes after Australia’s landmark legislation banning under-16s from platforms came into force in December last year.

The largest party in Poland’s ruling coalition is preparing a bill that would prohibit children under 15 from using social platforms and require tech companies to verify users’ ages.
