TAIPEI - The Taiwan State Department revealed today that Mainland Chinese “Internet troops” have invaded ten Taiwan government networks, including the police department. Employed by the Chinese government, the hackers used Trojan Horse viruses that damage the security of the computers. Taiwanese Government officials have called on all departments to clear out the invasion and pinpoint its source.

Zhongguang News Net reported on September 3rd that according to a report by Cai Qingyan, Commissioner of the Taiwan State Department, Internet traces indicate that the hackers reside in Mainland China. Installing Trojan Horse programs once inside the government networks, the viruses disabled network systems and remotely accessed and deleted files.
