Greek authorities confirmed the the country’s second and third cases of swine flu on Tuesday and Wednesday. All three cases developed in young people returning to Greece from foreign countries.

The first case, which surfaced on May 18, was a 19-year-old male who recently returned from the United Statses. After at least nine days in Sismanogleio, General Hospital of Athens he was finally released.

The second and third cases were two Greek youths who recently returned to Greece from Scotland. Both are 21 years old and were recently hospitalized. One of them is in Sismanogleio hospital and the other is in Thessaloniki’s ‘‘Axepa’' hospital.

For both, doctors said that these are soft cases. Greek Minister of health Dimitrios Avramopoulos said that these cases were identified from the thermic systems that were installed in the airport and that there is no need to worry.

Greek scientists say the country’s hot weather can kill the virus.

Passengers and their close relatives who were on the same flight as the Greek students are under investigation to see if they cought the flu.
