A full scale Millennium Falcon is being built for the upcoming Star Wars Episode 7.
The full scale ship is being built at the prop shop at Pinewood Studios in London, sources told Den of Geek.
Amid the construction, there’s been a security clampdown, the sources said.
The ship was spotted in a photo shared by Lucasfilm of a production meeting that included director JJ Abrams and producers Kathleen Kennedy and Jason McGatlin.
Model makers are also working on building lightsaber hilts.
These two pieces of news tie into reports that there is an emphasis on practical rather than computer effects wherever possible in the newly rebooted Star Wars franchise.
The movie is slated to hit theaters on December 18, 2015.
Then, a new Star Wars movie or spin-off movie is supposed to be released every year thereafter.
