Carrie Fisher’s Princess Leia character looks set to make more than a cameo appearance in Star Wars Episode VII.

According to Australian comedian Jim Jefferies, Fisher told him that she would be spending half a year filming Episode VII in London.

Fisher had previously revealed that she will reprise her role as Princess Leia.

Speaking on Sirius XM’s Opie and Anthony Show, Jefferies said: “She said to me, she goes ‘I’m going off to London for six months to film the new Star Wars movie,’ right?”

When Opie and Anthony laughed at Jefferies’s comment and suggested Fisher should be playing a bit part role since she looks different now, Jefferies repeated, “She’s there for six months!”

The Legit co-star also speculates about the direction the J. J. Abrams is likely to take.

“...I don’t think from looking at it, the new Star Wars movie is a direct continuation,” Jefferies said.

“It’s number 7 but it’s not going to be the next day, I’ll tell you that much. Maybe she had the same problem the Emperor had, I don’t know.”
