Singer sues Mcdonalds: Jacqueline Simpson filed a lawsuit against the fast food company after a chicken sandwich she bought there had a piece of glass in it.
Simpson, 52, says that when she bit into the sandwich and encountered the glass, it ruined her voice.
“Now when I sing, I have a hoarse, rattly voice,” Simpson told the New York Post. “I still sing alto, but I can’t sing soprano like I used to.”
The incident happened in May 2010 and she filed the suit on May 20 in the Brooklyn Supreme Court.
“I have to make a lot of calls for work, and I have to tell people that I’m not a man,’’ said Simpson, a clerk for the state Attorney General’s Office. “Before, that never happened.”
