Second in line to the throne of Monaco, Andrea Casiraghi, married Columbian heiress Tatiana Santo Domingo Saturday with some of the couple’s characteristic bohemian flair (see photos below).
Casiraghi and Santo Domingo met in 2002; Santo Domingo was studying at the same Paris school as Casiraghi’s sister, Charlotte.
Santo Domingo works as a stylist, according to the Telegraph. She was born in New York into one of Columbia’s wealthiest families. Julio Mario Santo Domingo, her father, came from a family that made its fortune through a variety of endeavors—brewing, an airline, media outlets.
The wedding was attended by 350–400 guests, and followed by an al fresco lunch by the palace pool, according to Hello magazine. Luxury beer from the Brasserie de Monaco provided refreshment.
The Prince’s Palace is described by the Telegraph as “an ornately decorated fortress” built in 1215.
Some of Santo Domingo’s friends in attendance included, according to the Telegraph, the fashion designer Margherita Missoni, 30; Lebanese jewelry designer Noor Fares, 27; and member of a prominent Greek shipping family Eugenie Niarchos, 27.
Hello magazine reports that Santo Domingo may have been influenced in her wedding design by Missoni’s gypsy-themed wedding last year. Missoni’s wedding included acrobats, painted caravans, and fortune tellers.
