PEZ said that the proceeds for the auction will go toward charity and will only sell the Kate and Prince William dispensers via eBay. “The proceeds will all go to a charity supported by Prince William and Kate Middleton,” said PEZ in a statement.
There were 33 bids submitted overall, but the record for the PEZ dispensers fall short of the all-time record set in 2006 when someone paid $32,000 for an Astronaut B model dispenser.
Prince William and Middleton will wed on April 29. Several wedding rehearsals have already taken place.
