Revolution Season 3? Will NBC Show be Renewed or Canceled? (+Episode 14 Preview)

February 25, 2014 Updated: July 18, 2015

Revolution on NBC has undergone some major retooling and recent season 2 changes, making it unclear whether there will be a season 3.

Zap2It, which constantly engages in predicting whether TV series will be renewed or canceled, predicts the show will be canceled.

The series viewing numbers have been dipping in season 2, hitting a series low of 5.1 million viewers and 1.3 million 18-49 viewers in late January.

While a couple years ago, “all this would have been a no-brainer for cancellation,” E! Online says that “determining what gets axed lately has become more tricky — especially at NBC. “

For example, other shows in the same time period were also drawing similar numbers of viewers, such as The Middle on ABC.

Revolution was initially renewed for season 2 for 22 episodes.

Through January 29, 13 episodes aired, and no others were scheduled.

However, in the past few weeks, three more episodes have been added onto the season, the first airing on February 26.

This could be taken as a good or bad sign. The new episodes could be a way to wrap up the series, or perhaps a last chance for the show to get strong numbers.
