This gluten-free, grain-free, dairy-free soup is one of my favorite “food as medicine” recipes when life gets busy and the body needs extra support. It is loaded with protein, anti-inflammatory herbs and spices, gut-healing bone broth, and fiber-rich vegetables that nourish your hormones, immune system, and digestion.

Each bowl delivers approximately 40 grams of protein, making it a satisfying, blood sugar-balancing meal that helps keep energy stable and cravings in check. It’s your hormone-smart meal-prep best friend.

One of the star ingredients is bone broth, which provides about 9 grams of protein per cup along with collagen, gelatin, and amino acids, including glycine, proline, and glutamine. These help support and repair the gut lining while also benefiting your joints, skin, and connective tissue. Whenever possible, I recommend choosing organic ingredients to reduce exposure to pesticides, antibiotics, and hormones. My favorite is the Brodo brand, an organic broth that can be ordered directly from Brodo or on Amazon.

Ginger and turmeric are two powerful anti-inflammatory ingredients, helping to calm the digestive tract, support immunity, and reduce joint discomfort. Black pepper enhances the absorption of turmeric’s active compound, curcumin. Garlic and onions support liver detoxification, while kale provides fiber and key nutrients that help support estrogen metabolism and hormone balance.

Fresh rosemary and thyme add additional immune-supportive benefits, and lemon juice delivers vitamin C to support detoxification.

The best part? This soup is simple to prepare, freezes beautifully, and tastes even better the next day. Make a big batch and enjoy immunity-boosting lunches and dinners all week long.
